Hello Guest
I thought my American visitors may like to take a brief look around some of my favorite Sporting Grounds and Estates in the UK
I shall add some more of my favorites in future posts.......

Nestled amidst the beautiful Gloucestershire countryside, Lady’s Wood has long been recognised as one of the finest shooting schools in the UK.
Set in 55 acres of natural woodland, Lady’s Wood offers the most comprehensive range of clay pigeon shooting facilities with a selection of layouts to suit all levels of ability, including two towers at 120ft and 60ft and three elevated traps.
Amongst the immaculately well-kept grounds you will discover a large variety of sporting traps that can simulate anything from a bolting rabbit to a long distance pheasant thrown from the High Tower, offering a unique shooting experience.
Ian Coley is renowned in the shooting world, for both clay shooting and game shooting. Six times Olympic coach, Ian first shot for Great Britain in 1971, and since then has represented the country on over 200 occasions – either as a shooter, coach or team manager.
In 2012, after coaching Richard Faulds and Peter Wilson to Gold at the Sydney and London Olympics respectively, Ian was awarded an MBE for his services to the sport of shooting.
Ian is widely recognised as one of the world’s top game shots and currently runs one of the UK’s largest Sporting Agencies, offering clients quality driven game shooting both here and abroad.
Situated on the Marlborough Downs just a few miles from our old home is Barbury Shooting School.
As well as two fantastic English Sporting Courses, various towers and a skeet layout, it also has one of my favorite coaching set-ups of any UK Ground.
Providing great target presentations for shots of all standards, this immaculately kept shooting ground is an absolute gem.
With simulated game days hosted in the stunning Wiltshire countryside surrounding the estate, Huw & his team really know what it takes to provide a great days shooting.
I hope you've enjoyed taking a look around these three fantastic Sporting Grounds.
Best Wishes...... Keith.
